Bodhi Temple / Community craft · Pro bono
A small screen. A shared moment.

01 / Context
The problem
Connect a personal blessing written on a visitor's phone with a shared visual experience on the temple's hall displays.
My contribution, and the team's
I built the phone blessing page and animated devotional panels for the Bodhi Temple. The ceremonies and community setting belong to the temple; my contribution is the digital experience.
Constraints
The work served named ceremonies, with distinct devotional imagery for each occasion. The phone flow and the hall presentation needed to form one understandable experience.
02 / Decision
The consequential choice
Use a phone for writing and the hall display for the ambient presentation. Four panels adapt that same interaction to Ksitigarbha, Medicine Buddha, Yellow Jambhala and Guan Yin. The demos show the experience without implying a particular backend architecture.
03 / Delivery
What shipped
- A public phone-friendly blessing page
- Four animated hall-display panels
- Recorded demonstrations of the end-to-end interaction
The documented outcome
The installation record starts with Ullambana on 5–6 September 2025, followed by Medicine Buddha on 15–16 November 2025, Yellow Jambhala on 17–23 February 2026 and Guan Yin on 1–2 August 2026. The four demos below preserve the experience.
Limits of the record
These are recorded demonstrations, not a live feed from the temple. Visitor counts and engagement metrics were not recorded for this case. The public blessing page may reflect the currently selected ceremony.
Installation archive
Four ceremonies. One shared interaction.
Each recorded demo starts only when you choose to play it. Stop it at any time, or open the original file for a larger view.
